Things to Remember

  • Minimum GPA requirements

  • High school course requirements, if any

  • Do they need SAT/ACT scores

  • Do they have your major or multiple majors that interest you

What You Should Know

  • Location - certain state or city

    • college town, big city, suburbs, rural, etc.

    • close to the airport, bus stop or train station​

    • using google maps, check what the area around the school looks like

    • near shopping centers, movie theaters or other activities

  • Housing

    • Suite style housing ~vs~ Dorm style housing with public bathrooms

    • Do they have many places to eat on or near campus

    • If you have dietary needs (i.e., vegan or vegetarian, gluten free, peanut allergies, etc.) please make sure the school provides a good menu for your needs.

  • Interests

    • a variety of places to find part-time jobs
    • Do they have clubs or school sponsored on/off campus activities
